Terms & Conditions for the “Dedupli-cat-e Notion” Chrome Extension

1. Introduction

   Welcome to Dedupli-cat-e Notion (the “Extension”). These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Extension, which provides functionality to identify and remove duplicate entries within a Notion database. By installing or using the Extension, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
   If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the Extension.

2. Description of Service

   The Extension connects to your Notion workspace (via the Notion API or user-provided access) to scan selected databases for potentially duplicate entries. The Extension may offer features such as:

   • Detecting duplicates based on match type
   • Manually merging and archiving identified duplicates

   The exact features may change over time as updates are released.

3. Eligibility

   You must be at least 18 years old, or the minimum age required in your country to use browser extensions and grant permissions to third-party tools. If you are using the Extension on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

4. User Responsibilities

   By using the Extension, you agree that:

   • You are responsible for ensuring you have appropriate access rights to any Notion databases the Extension interacts with.
   • You will not use the Extension for any unlawful purpose or in violation of Notion’s Terms of Use.
   • You acknowledge that deleting or modifying data in Notion is irreversible unless you independently maintain backups.
   • You are solely responsible for reviewing detected duplicates before deletion

5. Data Access & Privacy

   The Extension may require access to certain Notion data strictly for the purpose of providing the deduplication functionality.

   • No data is stored, transmitted to external servers, or shared with third parties unless explicitly stated in the Extension’s Privacy Policy.
   • All processing occurs locally on your device unless otherwise disclosed.
   • You remain the sole owner of your Notion data.

6. Permissions

   The Extension may request browser permissions such as:

   • Access to Notion pages or API endpoints
   • Ability to read and modify Notion database content

   You grant these permissions voluntarily when installing or enabling the Extension.

7. Updates & Changes

   We may update or modify the Extension at any time for performance, security, or feature improvements. These changes may affect how the Extension interacts with your Notion data. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

8. Third‑Party Services

   The Extension may rely on third‑party platforms such as:

   • Notion (notion.so)
   • Google Chrome and the Chrome Web Store

   We are not responsible for outages, changes, or restrictions imposed by these platforms.

9. No Warranty

   The Extension is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Extension will:

   • Always correctly detect duplicates
   • Function without errors or interruptions
   • Be compatible with future versions of Notion or Chrome

   You use the Extension at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

    To the maximum extent permitted by law:

    • We are not liable for any loss of data, business interruption, or damages arising from use of the Extension.
    • You agree that your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the Extension is to stop using and uninstall it.

11. Termination

    We reserve the right to discontinue the Extension or revoke your right to use it at any time, for any reason. You may terminate these Terms by uninstalling the Extension.

12. Governing Law

    These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
